Construction
Head rails are commercial grade extruded aluminium and are available in a powder coated or anodised finish, 45mm wide and 34mm deep with an attractive soft ribbed finish. Most of the construction components are made from self-lubricating nylon and all of the carriers incorporate self-aligning gears with a slipping clutch to eliminate damage by forceful misuse. The louvres can either stack to the right or left, or with a split draw. Controls can be right or left hand as required. The louvres tilt through 180 degrees by means of a nickel plated ball chain and are normally drawn by means of a terylene cord under built in tension.
Fabrics
Louvres are available in either 89mm or 127mm widths, with special fabrics and widths available on request. Many fabrics are flame retardant to B55867, Part 2, Type B. We also feature a fully machine-washable range of fabrics. Technical performance figures for most fabrics are available on request.
Special Applications
Blinds can be made with curved or arched head rails. Electric operation or manual mono-control, along with a wide variety of special shapes are also available on request.
